Here is a glimpse of our little man's pad. Since we are in kind of in a limbo state of living right now I wasn't going to do anything, but after several months of blah white I couldn't take it anymore. So there you have it, we made do for now.

I told my Dad and Bray about this marquee "N" I had envisioned in my mind and they whipped it out for me. My Dad also made me the chair wall shelves and I love them!

I promise when we are finally in a stable place I will do more, but there ya have it for now.

randomness

I'm in a major blog funk right now, maybe its the weather or the time of year who knows. So.....this post is about nothing really. I decided to keep you all updated on us by showing you the last 5 events that were documented on our camera. (Yay, how exciting right....okay I know not really)

My cute and oh so talented friend hosted a girls luncheon and Oh My was all I could say, it was adorable. She is the next Martha Stewart..really she is. She can cook, decorate, party plan and most importantly she can bake. It was such a fun day!

Of course we had to try the whole balance an egg on Spring Equinox to see if it actually worked.
It did.

Sorry if this is a picture of your house but I was doing what all Moms do when they are trying to get their kid to sleep...driving around. I thought, I should add to my "future home file" and take some pics of some ideas I like. Braydn was looking through our camera and was like "why do we have pictures of random peoples houses?" I promise I am not creepy or a stalker.

Ya, I know..my husband is cute and yes, we are one of those couples that people look at and think.."why is he with her?" Come on, I know you have all thought that before! Anyway, we made a day up at Park City and stopped at the Crater at the Homestead on our way home.

Nixon and I went to Cali to visit my sister last month. Sweet little Elle could not get enough of her new cousin "Mixey" and wanted to show him around. She took him to one of her favorite parks. He even had to ride the carousel with her. It was so cute to see how excited she was, she just kept looking to see his reaction. She was his second mom the entire trip.

I cannot believe he is almost two months, he is getting more and more personality every day and let me tell you he is very strong-headed (we may be in trouble)

He is getting to such a fun phase, the things I do to get this little man to smile!

Nixon watched his first Superbowl and you can guess who he cheered for......

just like his dad, we thought we would get him started on mt dew a little early.

He is so sweet and we cannot get enough of our little man!

Oh my goodness we love having this little man around! He is getting bigger and bigger by the second. He LOVES to eat and weighed 9lbs 4oz at his 2 week appointment. He is so much fun and is definitely a daddies boy already (but we could have guessed that)
He already has lots of admirers and even got my sister to book a flight just to come and see him!

This is his new favorite sleeping postion......

This week he lost all his hair on top so now he looks like such an old man, we call him our little benjamin button.

He is still irrestiable though...

Adoption

Dear St. George Parade of Homes People,

I am usually one of your biggest fans, and although this year you did manage to keep me entertained, can I ask..What was with you this year?? Where was all of the creativity? What was with the boring walls and blah every day decor? Most importantly where was the Frank Lloyd Wright inspired home?? You let me down this year!

However, I do want to thank you for providing us with houses that we might possibly be able to afford sometime in our lives.

Also, thank you for house #11, just when I was loosing all hope you did give me this beauty, I could have moved right in! But, in all seriousness I do hope that you can redeem yourselves next year!

Every New Years has me thinking about the past year and what I have accomplished, I'll admit that it had me feeling pretty bad for myself thinking about how uneventful I felt 2009 was for me. So this post is more for myself than anyone but as I started looking at our pictures from this past year it made me realize that I am so blessed and that even if I don't feel like I am where I should be in my life I need to enjoy the small and simple moments in life. 2009 was filled with so many fun memories and I am so thankful for them all!
