just dreaming...

So a few weekends ago we packed our bags and headed down to sunny St. George. We spent the weekend doing my favorite things. We wandered in and out of beautiful homes while voicing our opinions on what we liked and disliked about the homes that we can't afford. It is otherwise known as the Parade of Homes.
It is my favorite and St George has the best homes to look through, so every year I drag Braydn down there so that he can listen to me go on and on about what I do and don't like about each home..he's such a good sport.

While we were there we decided to check out this ridiculous pool, practice our golf on the putting green, rock climb, play a little racquetball, workout, shoot some hoops in our indoor b-ball court, watch a movie in our private theater and relax in our very own hot tub which was in a man-made cave.....

YA...That was all in ONE house! It was ridiculous.

We did happen to stumble upon a home inspired by my favorite architect of all time..Frank Lloyd Wright and can I just tell you..it was beautiful! I can't wait to design my house around his famous craftsman/modern style.

*****

This beauty was my favorite from last year and we were able to go through it again and I think that I loved it more this year than last! Check out that main room....beautiful!
Anyway, I could go on and on...

While we were there we did visit the cutest cafe! (just check out the cute Amy Butler fabric on the seats) They have a live band every Saturday night and have the most delicious cupcakes. If you are in St George you definitely need to make a stop there.

Brett and Hannah agreed with me on the cupcakes...Delicious.

deck the halls

We wanted to be part of the holiday spirit this year, but seeing as we don't really have a yard or house to spice up with Christmas lights we lit our tiny tree in front of our condo for all the neighbors to enjoy. Happy Holidays!

inexpensive craft ideas

Here are some inexpensive craft ideas that I have been working on this week. Since Christmas decor is the last thing that I should spend my money on this year I figured that I better get creative..so if you come over to my house this year and think that everything looks cheap and homemade that is because it is! Just wanted to share some easy ideas..

To make this garland all you need is some scrapbook paper, hot glue gun, glitter, mod podge, some sort of ribbon and some free time. I just used a cardboard box (so that it made it a bit more 3-D) to write out Noel and then sprinkled glitter on it. And there you have it!

So I didn't have the extra dollars to buy another cute little Christmas tree for my kitchen table and I was tired of the same old stuff so I just broke some branches off a tree in front of our house (shh.don't tell) and then tied some ornament balls on it. Simple..problem solved!

I had some old frames that we got from our wedding. I just printed off "JOY" on the computer and glued the letters to some newspaper and stuck it in the frames to put above my cupboards. And there you have it! If you have any cute creative crafts that are easy and inexpensive to make pass them my way!

keeping busy

We have been keeping ourselves busy with all sorts of projects.
Here is a sneak peek at what we have been up to while re-doing our boring office/craft room.
I know it is not the greatest but I am proud to say that I spent less than $40 on the entire room!

Happy # Three

It seems like it is the season for weddings..Three years ago I changed my name to the most generic name in the book....and I LOVE IT!! Happy three years to us!

Our anniversary was on Tuesday and we headed up for a little getaway in Park City. The fall leaves were beautiful up there! It is always fun to spend some time just the two of us and remember what an amazing day we are celebrating. I won't be all mushy but just so you know I am married to the most amazing man! I love you Bray!

Happy #3!

Trip to the Bay

Last week I went to visit my sister and her cute family in California. It was so much fun! We were always on the go. We had quite the girls trip with shopping, touring around the city and more shopping. I absolutely love San Francisco and am trying hard to convince Bray to find a job out there. I stayed there for a week and my mom came out a few days later. It was so fun to have all the girls together! (thanks Trammy for watching the kids) Thanks Nat & Trammy for having us and for the lugging us around everywhere.

I think that I might have found Bray a temporary job in the city so that we can move there..what do you think?

We went to this cute shopping place in Walnut Creek. I would highly recommend it if you are in the area. We spent an entire day just wandering around all of the shops.

I had this genius idea to go to a flea market one day, apparently so did all of these kinds of people

I had never been so scared in my life! We walked down one row and realized if we didn't want to buy stolen electronics or get a massage in the back of a ghetto van then we were out of luck. After having some drunk bum breathing down your neck while you walk and us girls holding onto our purses for dear life..we decided to go. (You think I am exaggerating but I am not!) I would have taken a picture just to prove it but I was afraid if I took out my camera it would have been for sale along with the rest of the stolen cameras. Wow..what a great idea I had!

But on a lighter note a major plus of the trip was that I got to spend a lot of time with these cute faces..
Thanks again Nat & Trammy! I can't wait to come back out for a visit!
